HPDG Associés Inc. and GDA are combining their local expertise to strengthen their footprint across the province
Quebec City and Montreal, September 4, 2024 – HPDG Associés Inc. and GDA, two independent real estate consulting firms in Quebec, announced that they will be merging operations and combining their teams. With offices in Quebec City and Montreal, the organization will be home to nearly 100 employees and cater to a wide range of clients. The consolidation will position the new company as a leader in real estate and equipment appraisal, market analysis, cost control, contingency fund studies, property tax management and real estate management in Quebec.
Working as equals
Deeply rooted and engaged in their respective communities of Quebec City and Montreal, GDA and HPDG Associés Inc. have a strong mutual affinity. Both companies balance professional rigour and a human-focused approach in their corporate culture, and both are committed to pursuing their vision and maintaining the sense of family that defines them for both their clients and employees. “Our message is clear: this is not an acquisition, but an equal partnership. It’s essential to us that everyone feels at home,” said Louis Deschênes.
In practical terms, the merger will make it possible to maintain local expertise while strengthening the footprint across the provincial market. “The goal isn’t just to get bigger; our goal is to grow,” said David Lahaye. “Joining forces means we can gain capabilities and opportunities while keeping the agility that sets us apart in the industry. And this will increase our value for our clients across Quebec.” The merger reflects the desire of both companies to be leaders in a rapidly changing industry. “We don’t want to merely react to change; we want to embody it,” said Louis Bergeron. “While some in our industry are focusing on national and international markets, our aim is to pool our extensive knowledge of local markets so we can offer even greater benefits to Quebecers.”
Building together
The merger was announced to the teams of both companies this morning. A new name has not yet been chosen, as the leadership, staying true to the human values it promotes, wants to include all colleagues in the decision-making process. “This new name will belong to everyone, and we want to avoid imposing an identity that our teams might not connect with. A sense of belonging is extremely important to us,’” said Roxanne Carrier. The exciting journey will continue to unfold over the coming year.
